April 22, 1957, she married the love of her life, Ernie Beeney in Elkhart, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on March 18, 2012. next worked at McMillen's Farm Supply after which he was a Marion County Deputy Sheriff before going to work at Eaton Manufacturing, retiring as Chief of Security in 1995 after 26 years of service. He went back to work part time for Depot Security until November of 2007.
