He was born Aug. 18, 1904, in Montgomery Township, Marion County, to the late Croft and Mary C. (LaRue) Bauer.
His first wife, Lucy Irene Brady, died April 16, 1941. In 1951, he married Elizabeth Gillon, and she survives.
