of the Richwood American Legion Baccarat Post No. 40 and a member of the
VFW Post No. 870, Richwood.
A retired trucker, he worked with Gateway Trucking of Marion. He enjoyed
working on lawn mowers, gardening, fishing and playing poker.

Calvin was born March 22, 1924 in LaRue, Ohio, the only child of Floyd and Faye (Hastings) Topliff. He married Elizabeth Leasure Beatty June 17, 1950.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, 44th Division, Company C where he served in WWII in the European Theatre and was awarded the Bronze Star in Germany in 1945.
