She was born near LaRue May 10, 1910, a daughter of Samuel and Ida Jones Bell.

She was born March 5, 1929 near Norton, Ohio to the late George LeRoy and Eva Mae (Cook) Stoner. On October 21, 1950 she married John R. Snyder, they then moved to LaRue where they began farming, and he died February 17, 2004.
