and Maryann Stone Lightfoot. Her husband John N. Dix, whom
she married December 7, 1940, preceded her in death October 3,
1944.

RICHWOOD — Fred Douglas, 92, 8523 Donovan Road, Radnor, died Saturday evening April 29, 1989 at Marion Manor, Marion.
A native of Union County, he was born June 18, 1896, a son of William A. and Carrie Moore Douglas.
A retired farmer, Mr. Douglas was a member of Radnor Congregational United Church of Christ and a former member of Essex Grange.
On Nov. 22, 1916, he married the former Anna Marie Riley, who survives.

| Juanita J. “Hazel” Fields d Virginia. She was a member and secretary of Marion County Federation Club. She also had helped cook meals at the Masonic Lodge.
Juanita was lovingly given the nickname “Hazel” by her teenaged daughter Carla. That name carries on to this day. It came from the sitcom “Hurray for Hazel”. She had an open house policy as everyone was welcome in her home. She believed it took a whole village to raise a child.
