He died July 6, 1973.8 p.m. Friday at his home of a self inflicted gunshot wound.
He was born Dec. 24, 1933 in Iberia to Clyde and Lucille Davis Doles. His mother survives at Chillicothe.
On July 3, 1958 he was married to Sharrol Ann Cunningham and she survives.

Donald served in World War II in the Merchant Marines transporting supplies to 14 foreign countries from 1943-1946. After returning from the war, he worked with his father in The Leslie E. Adams Lumber Company, and later took over the farming operation in LaRue and Marion County. With a gift for skilled carpentry he was the owner of Adams Cabinet Shop building homes and custom cabinets in the Marion area.

A native of Union County, he was born June 18, 1896, a son of William A. and Carrie Moore Douglas.
A retired farmer, Mr. Douglas was a member of Radnor Congregational United Church of Christ and a former member of Essex Grange.
On Nov. 22, 1916, he married the former Anna Marie Riley, who survives.

Mr. Douglas, a retired farmer died in Traverse City, Mich., Wednesday morning. His wife, Mary E. Douglas whom he married Nov. 27, 1918, in Green. Camp, survives.

Surviving are a sister, Goldie Van Sickle, West Virginia; and nieces and nephews in the Richwood area.
