She was born May 31, 1978 in Marion to Melvin Rose and Cathy (Turner) Haycox, he survives in Kenton and she survives in Marion.

He retired in 1990 after 25 years with the Ohio Department of Transportation as an inspector. He, also with his wife, Ollie, owned and operated the White Swan Restaurant for 25 years.
