She was born March 7, 1900, in Pike County to parents X.X. and Mary (Johnson) Bayhan.

| Lois Jeffers Parish Dale worked as an electrician and Lois a homemaker. Dale was killed in a plane crash in 1969 near Sparrevohn and then she moved to Salem, Oregon so her boys could attend a Christian school. She returned to Anchorage in 1986 to live near her daughter.
