He was born August 24, 1944 in Urbana, to the late Edward Lee and Mary E. (Hutchins) Huffman, he was also preceded in death by siblings: Janet Edmunds and Ronald Lee Huffman.
Ralph had served in the Army National Guard. When he was a young man, he helped his grandfather dig graves at the local cemetery.
