Ruth Ella Johnson, 70, Hender-;sonville, N.C., died Friday Oct. 23, 1987 at Margaret Pardee Hospital there.
She was born May 8, 1917, in New Bloomington, a daughter of the late Earl and Mabel Manning Drake.
She married Virgil Ira Robert Johnson in 1930. He died in 1986.
A bookkeeper for Lynn Drug Co., Columbus, for 50 years, Mrs. Johnson owned a meat shop in Columbus for 18 years. She was a graduate df New Bloomington High School.
