Kathleen Ellen “Kate” Giles

Kathleen Ellen “Kate” Giles, 87, of Marysville died Friday, April 7, 2006 at Gables at Green Pastures.  She was born Oct 23, 1918 in Union County, OH to the late Clayton and Ethel (Stahl) Baldwin. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Marysville. On Feb 10, 1936 she married Laurice H. Giles, who preceded her in death by 25 years and 1 day. She is survived by 2 sons, Larry Giles, Marysville and Garry Giles, Raymond, 1 sister, Mildred McGinnis, Marysville, 9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 son, Rodney, in January, 2006; 2 brothers, Gerald and Dick Baldwin; 2 grandsons, Eric and Randy Giles; and a great-grandson, Torrie Griffith. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Rev. Paul Whiteford officiating.  Burial will be in York Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Nazarene or York-McKendree United Methodist Church.  Cards are available at the funeral home.
