Rosella Jordan
Rosella Jordan, 71, of Prospect died Friday, December 23, 2005 at home after a 3-year illness.  She was born June 10, 1934 in Plain City, OH to the late Dana and Ethel (Hennis) Cameron.

She was a homemaker who loved caring for her family, including her 31 foster children.  She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Prospect, Katherine Luther Circle, Child Conservation League, Prospect Senior Citizens and the Verne I. Mounts American Legion Auxilliary.

On July 16, 1949 she married Richard Thomas Jordan, who died January 10, 2003.

She is survived by 3 sons, Murl Dana (Donna) Jordan, Prospect; Mark Richard (Brenda) Jordan, Prospect; Michel Thomas Jordan, Findlay; 1 daughter, Marilyn Leona (Daylon) Van Gundy, Prospect; 1 brother, Howard (Doris) Cameron, Plain City; 3 sisters, Lamont Johnson, Reynoldsburg; Betty Almendinger, Prospect; Annabelle Cameron, Prospect, 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by 2 brothers.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Russell Makant officiating.  Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Gehm-Ballinger Funeral Home, Prospect on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Grady Memorial Hospital, 561 W. Central Ave., Delaware, OH  43015 or American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 102454, Atlanta, GA  30368-2454.

So very sorry to read about your mother's death on the Marion Star internet.  I remember as a very lovely woman, who really cared for her children.  So very happy to have had some of those children in first grade. Please know I am thinking about your family today.
