James H. Foos
James Henry Foos, 88, of Richwood died unexpectedly Friday morning, November 4, 2005 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.  He was born January 1, 1917 in Marion County  to the late Henry C. and Lucy (Smeltzer) Foos.

He was a member of Magnetic Springs United Methodist Church, Essex Grange and served on the Leesburg-Magnetic School Board.  After attending The Ohio State University, he began farming in 1939.  He always enjoyed attending family functions.  He and his wife Dora Mae spent the last 30 winters in Florida where he loved to golf.  He was especially proud of his 3 holes-in-one, the latest one being the day before his 88th birthday.

On July 25, 1942 he married Dora Mae Ruhl who survives.

Also surviving are 2 sons, Samuel J. (Janice) Foos, Marysville; Daniel L. (Darlene) Foos, Galion; 1 daughter, Joan S. (Rex) Sullinger, Ridgeway; 3 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by 1 brother.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 11, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in the Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Rev. Joseph Rhea officiating.  Burial will be in Claibourne Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

To all the Foos Family--You have our sincere sympathy.  Jim was such a great neighbor and good friend to our entire family, including my parents.  Dad will miss playing golf with him in the summer.  We'll all treasure good memories.
