Janette C. Boggs, 96, of Marysville, passed away peacefully Thursday evening November 5, 2026 at the Arbors of Delaware.
She was born on January 1, 1930, in Louisa, Kentucky, to the late Clifford and Goldie Lyon. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ossie N. Boggs; her son, William “Rick” Boggs; her six sisters: Janice Lyon, Mary Ann Lyon, Lou Hecker, Pauline Jenkins, Illene Plummer, Allene Hecker, and her brother, Bill Lyon.
Janette was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She especially loved gathering family and friends for her well-known Sunday fried chicken dinners, spending time with her dogs who were always faithfully by her side, and sitting on her front porch on warm, sunny days watching the birds. In her earlier years, she took pride in her work at the Harold Lewis Center in Marysville, where she formed lasting connections and contributed meaningfully to her community.
A member of Union Baptist Church in Richwood, Janette cherished attending services and the fellowship she shared with her church family. She had a generous spirit and was always ready to lend a helping hand, serving others whenever and wherever she was needed.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Barb (John) Masiarczyk of Deltona, Florida, Beth Temple of Richwood, Bonnie (Alan W.) Call of Marysville, John (Kathy) Boggs of Marysville, Kip (Jackie) Boggs of Powell and her daughter-in-law, Pamela Boggs of Fraziers Bottom, West Virginia.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren: Amy (Marvin) Jones, Jennifer (Glen) Jung, Bill (Theresa) Temple, Ben (Victoria) Temple, Chad Fitch, Angie (John) Miller, Johnny Boggs Jr., Sarah (Shane) Hayes, Matt (Stacey) Call, Kyle Boggs and Courtney (David) White.
She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Janette is further survived by her brother, Stan (Billie) Lyon of Columbus, and her sister-in-law, Jan Lyon of Ashley.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 11, 2026 at 12 noon at Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Burial will follow in the Mapledell Cemetery near Magnetic Springs. Her son, Kip Boggs will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in Richwood.
