Carolyn Elaine (Kavanagh) Scheiderer, 76 of Delaware, died peacefully Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Bluebird Retirement Community in Marysville. She was born March 2, 1950 in Marion to the late Delbert Ray and Bonita Rose (Wright) Kavanagh. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Steve Kavanagh and brother-in-law, Jim Harvey. Carolyn loved music, especially the songs of Elvis Presley, and enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly making memories with her family at state parks. She took great pride in returning to school later in life, earning her education and becoming a registered nurse. She dedicated her career to caring for others and retired from Memorial Hospital of Union County in 2006. Above all, Carolyn was immensely proud of her five grandsons, who held a special place in her heart. She is survived by two sons, Ryan (Stephanie) Scheiderer, Delaware; Sean (Lisa) Scheiderer, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; grandsons, Alex, Henry, Riley, Parker, and Jackson; two sisters, Rae Nita (Joe) Elliot, West Mansfield; and Vickie Harvey, West Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews. Private memorial services were held at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Joseph Rhea officiating.
