Lyn Marie BarryArtLyn Marie Barry, 81 of Richwood, died early Saturday morning August 15, 2026 at the Gables of Marysville.

She was born July 28, 1945 in Kenton to the late John L. and Mary Marie (Benedict) Morris. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lana D. Rose.

Lyn was raised near West Mansfield where she graduated from Buckeye Local High School and was the homecoming queen.

Lyn married Charles “Chuck” Barry on October 5, 1963 at the West Mansfield United Methodist Church and he survives. They lived their lives in Richwood and have been active community members for many years.

Lyn was a very talented artist. She owned and operated the Cottonwood Barn in Richwood, where many in the area enjoyed her beautiful gifts and advice on decorating. She had a flare for design. Early on, Lyn had worked at the Morgan House in Shawnee Hills as a buyer. The Cottonwood Barn was truly a family business as her family were big parts of the charm and success of all of the creations and treasures.

Surviving along with Chuck are their children, LeAnn (Tom “Spike”) Clark of Indian Lake and Tim (Nikki) Barry of Richwood
Grandchildren, Cole (Micaela) Barry, Blake Barry, Jonathan Clark and Jessica Clark
Great granddaughter, Bellamy Clark
Many extended family and dear friends

Friends may call on Friday August 21, 2026 from 4-7 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Private burial will take place in the York  Cemetery. Family friend Pastor Jim Christy will officate.

Memorial gifts may be made to the North Union Local Schools (to be used for the lunch program)  make checks payable to North Union Local Schools,  please put “Lyn Barry” in the memo line.
