Visitation: Gathering of Family and Friends to celebrate Larry’s life on Sunday August 9, 2026 for 2-4 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue
Larry David HarrisonFishermanLarry David Harrison, 82 of LaRue, died peacefully early Wednesday morning August 5, 2026 at his home.

He was born November 2, 1943 in Red House, West Virginia to the late Harold Henry and Nora Lodema (Jividen) Harrison. He was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Harrison, siblings, Lyle Harrison, Pam Wright, Wanda Barton, Dale Harrison, Jean Johnson and Ann Hughes.

Larry was a graduate of the New Bloomington High School. He had most recently worked for the Village of LaRue in the Street Maintenance Dept. He had previously worked for Tecumseh and Marion Power Shovel in Marion. Larry was one of those guys that could fix just about anything.
He loved to go fishing at the Delaware Lake. He also enjoyed playing poker, Texas Hold’em and playing the slot machines.

Surviving is his wife, Trudy (Cunningham) Harrison, they were married June 13, 1992. Also surviving are his children, Jody Harrison of LaRue, Tracy (Randy) Montgomery of Marion, Larry Harrison Jr. of LaRue and David (Lori) Harrison of South Carolina
Grandchildren, Rayden Roberts, Scarlett Roberts, Kayla Culler, Zachary Harrison, Ryan (Teresa) Montgomery and Chelsey (Brad) Henning
Several great grandchildren
Siblings, Earl (Sandy) Harrison of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Roger (Doreen) Harrison of LaRue, Linda Hollandshead of Marion, Vi Bell of Marion, Gail (Bob) Wilson of Marion, Diana Adams of Ty Ty, Georgia and Irma (Richard) Grey of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends to celebrate Larry’s life on Sunday August 9, 2026 for 2-4 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home to help the family with unexpected expenses.

My thoughts and prayers for the family. Larry was my neighbor for a few years, he was also a coworker and was always telling me his fishing stories. Larry was an over all great and surely will be missed. Rest in Peace my friend 🙏❤️
