Daniel Nelson DickinsonCowboy HatDaniel Nelson Dickinson, 53 of West Mansfield, died Wednesday July 1, 2026 at the Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. Dan had been a resident at Woodlands of Findlay Assisted Living.

Dan was born August 16, 1972 in Kenton to the late Harold Nelson Dickinson and Wanda Kay (Major) Compton.

He was a 1992 graduate of the North Union High School. He had attended the Byhalia Friends Church.

Dan loved animals, it didn’t matter if they were pets or not. He also enjoyed mowing and was known as a practical joker. He loved country and western music especially if it was played LOUD.
Dan will be remembered for always being dressed in cowboy boots and hat.

Surviving is his brother, Mike Dickinson of Richwood and his children, Colton, Emily and Ava.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday July 12, 20206 at 2:00 pm at the Byhalia Friends Church. Pastor Jim Gardner will officiate.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Union County Humane Society, 16540 County Home Rd, Marysville, OH 43040

The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood is assisting the family locally.

I am sorry for your loss. I was his girlfriend at the woodlands in Findlay, Ohio. I enjoyed spending time with him feeding the squirrels. I loved him very much ge will miss him.
