 James E. Hedge, 101, of Marion, formerly of Richwood, passed away Sunday June 28, 2026 at his home at Primrose of Marion, a place that Jim really enjoyed and felt like it was his home!
He was born February 21, 1925 in Brookfield Township, Noble County to the late Lewis E. and Grace Myrtle (Bartlett) Hedge. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Anna Louise (Roahrig), they were married March 14, 1952 in Loudonville and she died April 23, 2011. He was also predeceased by siblings, Clay, John and Dale Hedge, Lavina Hedge and Neva Young.
Jim was a graduate of the Belle Valley High School. He served our country in the United States Navy during WW II. Jim retired from AEP in Columbus in 1982 as a Sub Station Mechanic. While in Richwood, Jim was a member of the Claibourne United Methodist Church, the Richwood Civic Center and had belonged to the Sharon, Ohio F & AM #136.
Surviving is a sister-in-law, Betty Hedge of Caldwell and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday July 7, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Plainfield Cemetery, near Coshocton. Dr. Steven Fewell will officiate. There will be Military Honors given by the Coshocton County Honor Guard.

It was an honor to care for jim over the last 11 years. He was a delight. May he rest in peace. So sorry for your loss.
