Renee Harger

Renee Harger, 55, formerly of Marion, went home to her loving savior Jesus Christ on Saturday May 16, 2026 at Unger Park Post Acute in Bucyrus. She had been a resident there during her courageous battle with Huntington’s Disease. She was born October 12, 1970 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Don Wood Sr. and Shirley S. Thompson. She was also preceded in death by brother, Don Wood Jr. Renee was a 1988 graduate of Ridgedale High School. She was a hardworking person that loved her family and had a beautiful heart, even in the midst of the awful disease that took her life. Renee was a baptized, Christian woman who went to church regularly until her health would not allow it Surviving is her son, Jeffrey Rowdy Harger, sister, Cathy Thompson of Upper Sandusky and a special cousin, Penny Rose, who looked after Renee. "Aunt Renee" was very close with her cousins as they were growing up. Private family graveside services will be held at the LaRue Cemetery.
