Red Rose2Mary Ann Pendleton, 72 of LaRue, died Monday morning April 20, 2026 at Marion General Hospital.

She was born March 21, 1954 in Marion to the late Charles and Bonnie (Matteson) Walker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James E. Pendleton, they were married August 30, 1971 in LaRue and he died June 21, 2010. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Vickie Rosebrough and siblings, Irey Walker and Ruby Byrd.

Mary was a true homemaker in every sense of the word. Her guiding purpose in life was to take care of her family. She enjoyed old country music and the Beach Boys.

Surviving are her children, Jennifer Pendleton of Marion, Darlene Pendleton of Kenton, Cheryl (Steve) Bise of Marion, Lisa (Bud) Hall of West Virginia, Margaret Temple of Michigan, Brian (Edna) Pendleton of LaRue, Mark Pendleton of Marion, Carl Temple of Marion, Ernie Temple of Forest, Jimmie (Robin) Temple of Bucyrus and Sam Thompson of Kentucky.
Daughter-in-law, Laura (Donnie) Norris of Marion
Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren
Sisters, Jackie (Drew) Brannan of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Phoebe Grosso of Kenton

Funeral services will be held Friday April 24, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue. Pastor Andrew Beebe will officate. Burial will follow in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in LaRue.
