 Dr. Marvin G. Rizor, 80 of Marysville, died early Monday morning February 16, 2026 at Walnut Crossing in Marysville.
He was born March 18, 1945 in Kenton to the late George O. and Ruth Eileen (Skidmore) Rizor.
Doc graduated from Elgin High School, class of 1963 and received his Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine degree from The Ohio State University in 1968. Doc loved rooting for his Buckeyes.
He operated the Richwood Animal Clinic for many years. He had great dedication to his clients, many were his friends.
He really enjoyed watching his grandkids activities.
Marv and Connie belonged to the Marysville Eagles #3506, Elks #1130, Moose #1651 and VFW #3320.
Doc and a group of his friends took hunting trips out west for many years. He cherished these trips and friendships. Marv was known to enjoy a little bit of road farming over the years.
Surviving is his wife, Connie L. (Pierce) Rizor, they were married June 25, 1993 on the 18th hole at the Timberview Golf Course in Marysville.
Also surviving are his children, Brooke Benack of Hilliard and Brett (Theresa) Rizor of Cincinnati, stepdaughter, Heather Scott of Marysville.
Grandchildren, Miles Rizor, Zane Rizor, McDaniel “Mac” Benack, Anna Benack, Pierce Scott and Mason Scott
Siblings, Rick (Sharon) Rizor of Marion, Judy (George) Collmer of Prospect and Micky (Dean) Ridgway of LaRue
Services Celebrating His Life will take place Monday February 23, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Chaplain Tom Schwind will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 pm at the funeral home in Richwood.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Loving Care Hospice, 779 London Ave. Marysville, Ohio 43040
