Mary, Cookie and the rest of the Dunbar family,
Dunbar scared the crap out of me at first, but when I got to know her, she became such a dear and special person to me. She was incredibly loving, kind, thoughtful, giving, and loyal. She was there when I needed her the most in my life, and she brought me comfort, reassurance, and peace. My thoughts and heart are with you all. She was an angel on earth.
All my love,
Kennedy

My prayers and condolences go out to all family and friends. This did hit me very hard. Dunbar (as we call each other by our last names primarily) took me under her wing 7 years ago when I was a new officer and I wouldn’t have much of the knowledge and insight I have now without her. She even taught this city girl what microwavable pork rinds were and gave me some to try. I even stopped at Rural King (with the help of my GPS) and picked her up some in return. She definitely came across as having a hard exterior to some, but inside her laid a heart of pure gold that those of us fortunate enough to have been “adopted” as her work kiddos were blessed to experience. I will miss Eva so much but I am glad she is no longer suffering in silence, because she would never admit it to anyone, but is now truly at peace. I will always love you Eva Dunbar, as you were one of the few that saw beyond my own hard exterior and made me a better officer and human. You will forever be missed but always in my heart!
Love,
Robertson

My condolences to her family and friends. I knew her from ORW and always appreciated her "old school" style of corrections and learned from her how to be firm but respectful. Dunbar always checked on me and had my back. She had such a kind, loving heart, and a great sense of humor I've missed for several years. I hope solace can be found knowing she is no longer in pain. She is flying with her angel wings(& carrying a large ziplock baggie of candies like she brought to work). Many sympathies

Mary and Tony, we are very sorry for your loss. Back in 1981she was our neighbor. Our son decided he was going to come into this world late one Saturday night. Monique drove us to Marion General Hospital. We will always be grateful for her kindness.

Tony and Mary, I am so saddened by Monique's passing. I spent so many years being a friend and frequent visitor to your home while watching all of you grow up. You were all very special to me. May God comfort you. I send my love and strength to you today. Polly Oehler

Hello, I was a coworker of Ava Dunbar and I’m very sorry for your loss. She will be greatly missed here at ORW. She was a very sweet lady and I’ll miss seeing her face everyday at work. I remember getting her icecream from sheetz and she would absolutely refuse to let me pay for her. Very stubborn lady she was. I would try and sneak the money back to her, but she would sneak it right back to me. I hope you all are doing as well as you can. My prayers are with you all.

Monique and a couple other friends stood up with Regina when we got married. She was bubbly, funny, and kind. Over the years, we lost contact. To Mary and Tony, I wish we could reconnect. Blessings.
