Rebecca J. “Becky” Schnitzler, 75 of Marion, died Monday September 15, 2025 at her home. She was born March 16, 1950 in Kenton to the late Carlos Eugene and Betty (Perot) James. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Phipps, a brother, Benjamin James and sister-in-law, Debra James. Becky was a homemaker. She had previously belonged to the VFW Post 3313 Women’s Auxiliary, Marion Moose, American Legion Post 584, Eagles in Marion and the Meeker Sportsman Club. Surviving is her husband, Charles W. Schnitzler, they were married June 13, 1980. Also surviving are children, Charles W. Schnitzler of Meeker, Jeffrey A. (Mildred Ray) Cunningham of Galion and Lucinda (Aaron) Alderman of Bucyrus, stepdaughter, Tina Bianco of Tampa, Florida. 4 grandchildren and 1 step grandchild, 2 great grandchildren. Siblings, Daniel James of Ridgeway, Robert James of Kenton, Letitia (Larry) Webb of West Mansfield, Susan (Michael) Smith of Mt. Victory and Nancy (Jamie) Lobdel of West Liberty Brother-in-law, Charles Phipps of Mt. Victory Funeral services will be held Friday September 19, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Meeker Community Center, 6400 Harding Hwy W, Marion, Ohio 43302. Pastor Kathy Herr will officate. Burial will follow in the Frame (Meeker) Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the service beginning at 12 noon at the Meeker Community Center.
