 William Allen “Bill” Wells, 83 of Richwood, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 11, 2025 at his home with his loving wife and devoted family by his side.
He was born February 18, 1942 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Willis Jennings and Anna (Litteral) Wells. He was also preceded in death by a step daughter, Pamela Louise Hoover, siblings, German, Bernard, Ann, Laura and Helen.
Bill graduated from Jefferson County High School in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a man of remarkable skill and craftsmanship, whether it was electrical, mechanical or furniture related. Bill was an electrical engineer and was highly knowledgeable in his field. He retired from Honda of America after 25 years of service in the stamping department in 2004. He had traveled to Japan multiple times for his work.
Bill met the love of his life Nancy (Mosier) in June of 1988 and what ensued was one of the greatest love stories. They were married on July 2, 1992 in London, Kentucky.
They enjoyed spending winters in the Florida Keys until his health no longer allowed. Bill enjoyed riding his Honda Goldwing Trike on numerous trips with Nancy. One of his favorite hobbies was woodworking and he loved making gifts for his family. He also loved helping Nancy with their many flower beds and garden.
Bill leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication and cherished memories with his loving wife of 33 years and caregiver the last 3 years, Nancy. His four daughters, Robin (Bob) Chadeayne of Springfield, Charlene (John) Shockey of DeGraff, Penny (Marv) Guider of Forest and Wendy (Neil) Witchey of Marysville.
Grandchildren, Mandy Heth, Joey (Sierra) Furer, Jared (Lynn) Shockey, Josh Witchey, Carah (Dallas) Foster, Jesse (Aija) Shockey, Jesse (Amber) Mills, Charlotte Griggs, Tyler (Chelsea) Furer, Jacob (Brooke) Mills, Alison Mills, Katie (Bill) Jacobs and Megan Tinnerello
Great grandchildren, Jase, Ivan and Clarissa Foster, Elena Shockey, Lily and Gabe Furer, Kahlin, Vaan, Juni and Ashe Furer, Sawyer Jacobs, Aubrey Wilson, Kyran, Alaina and Everly Mills, Jason Longberry and Carter and Aubree Mills.

The Wells family would like to express their deep gratitude for the care and compassion of Suncrest Hospice, Columbus, especially David, Kayle, Amy, Jonathon, Mark, Beth and Patty.
Funeral services will be held Monday September 15, 2025 at 12 noon at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Stasia Peake will officate. Burial will follow in the York Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 pm at the funeral home in Richwood.

I was Bill's stepdaughter Pam's dear friend. Nancy and I connected and I've shared their wonderful memories through Facebook. The anniversaries, the new grandbabies and their beautiful getaway. My deepest sympathies to my dear, sweet Nancy and all if Bill's family. He loved you all dearly ❤️
