Visitation: One hour prior to the service |
Judy Kay Penix, 62 of Richwood, died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at her home.
She was born December 18, 1962 in Marion to the late James and Iretta (Conley) Penix. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ed and Roy Penix, and two sisters, Loretta Evans and Hilda Gilliam.
Judy worked many years for Premier Manufacturing at the Honda Marysville plant as a manager. After fighting and beating breast cancer she no longer worked and was able to spend more time at home and with family, which she cherished every minute that she had with them. Judy loved and adored her children and grandchildren and in recent months loved her snuggles with her newest great granddaughter. She enjoyed and was very proud of the family that she created and has grown over the years. There are no words that can describe how deeply she is missed and loved.
She is survived by her daughter, Alyssa R. (Brian) Woods, Richwood; her son, Josh (Kara) McElroy, Richwood; grandchildren, Alissa Nava; Taylor, Brooklyn, Hunter, Haylee and Beau Woods; Emma, Kailin, Chloe and Logan McElroy; a great-granddaughter, Blakely Woods; three great-grandsons, Brantley, Rowen, and Kayus Nava; three sisters and a brother, Debby (Carey) Hughes, Richwood; Pat (Mark) Anderson, Brooksville, Florida; Gary (Robyn) Penix, Salt Lake City, Utah; and Ella Davis, Richwood.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Joseph Rhea officiating. Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM.
