I first meet Jim in the early 60’s when NewBloomington came to LaRue for Jr. High. Jim was a very polite young man. Like Craig Bolbenz said one of my favorite classmates. I will miss talking to him at the farm. Prayers for his wife and children, Love in Christ Name.

Jim was a very good man. He was a positive influence in my life growing up in New Bloomington. We played baseball together, camped out together and ran with a good group of kids. I cherish those memories.

I met Jim several years ago at Ed & Dian Schweinfurth’s barn. Ed’s workshop was a gathering spot for friends & neighbors. He’s known to me as “Farmer Jim” & I’d heard them both speak with affection of their friend & neighbor long before I met him and as recently as a few days ago. He was a kind neighbor and friend to people I love. Sincere condolences to Jim’s family and friends.

Karena, I'm so sorry. He would be smoking that pipe and reading the newspaper. He was a good man. Joe did some custruction work for him years ago. If we were out driving and saw that pipe we knew who it was before seeing him. We send our condolences to you and your family. Big hugs and prayers 🙏
