Joelyn, I’m so very sorry for your loss. You must have gotten the love of harness racing  from your dad. That’s nice you had that in common. Prayers for you and your family.

We share your loss and sadness. Paul was an integral part of our extended family. It was a pleasure working with him at the OHHA office and traveling to the various race tracks over the years. Sincere sympathy to Betty Jo and the Shoup family.

Got to know Paul a little from my early days learning the trade of starting horse races. It would be tough to run across a nicer man. Condolences to his family and those that were close to him. Rest in peace Homer.

Betty Jo & Family, Paul was a cousin, actually first cousin 1 generation removed, my Grandmother was his Aunt.  The Shoup family name is slowly becoming part of history, especially Richwood history.  My Dad thought so much of Paul.  May you find peace in memories, faith & love. Betty Jo and family,  I am saddened to hear of Paul’s passing but know he is now serving with his Lord and Savior.  It was such a blessing to know Paul and I can still hear his contagious laugh.  Thanks for trusting me to watch your children one summer while you were both working.  Pat
