Jeffrey Allen Harley DavidsonJeffrey Allen “Wooly” Cobb, 67 of LaRue passed away peacefully at the Marion General Hospital on Sunday, June 29, 2025 with his family by his side.

Jeff was born July 30, 1957 in Kenton, OH to the late Robert and Annie (Hudson) Cobb. He graduated from Elgin in 1976. On July 1, 1978 he married Judy (Kempton) and together they had four daughters: Jessica (Seth) Miller, Jonda (BJ) Smith, Jeanette and Jodi Cobb all of LaRue. They were also blessed with 11 grandchildren: Cameron (Josi), Callie and Kirsten Miller, Reagan, Brock and Grayson Smith, Gavyn Holmes, Maddox Yost, Larissa, Kane and Mason Sowell. Also one special great-grandson Baylor Miller.
Jeff came from a very large and loving family and is survived by siblings: Bob (Sally) Cobb, Shirley (Mike) Schmelzer, Dave (Robbie) Cobb, Sharon Butler, Rick Cobb, and Roger Cobb. He also leaves behind many, many nieces and nephews that he loved to torment.

Jeff was also preceded in death by his two younger sisters Sandy Smith and Sherry White, two nephews Chad and Timmy Cobb and niece Brandy White.

Jeff loved his whole family and was the life of the party, always the last to leave. His greatest joy was riding his Harley and loved taking his girls for rides (usually to bars where they were sworn to secrecy not to tell their mom, which they always did). He loved being outdoors and mowing his lawn, and in his younger years he loved coaching his daughters in softball. He enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. Jeff loved his grandkids and holidays with them, he especially had fun on Halloween dressing up and would wear anything his wife made for them.

He worked at Whirlpool for 25 years, and Bridgestone in Upper Sandusky for 16 years and medically retired in 2017.

Jeff will be forever missed by family and friends and whoever had the privilege of meeting him.

A Funeral Service celebrating Jeff’s life will be held Monday July 7, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood, Greg Field will officiate. Friends may call 3 hours before the service beginning at 4:00 pm at the Funeral Home in Richwood.
