Visitation:
Rose Mary BonhamCookRose Mary Bonham, 77, of Columbus, passed away peacefully Friday, June 13, 2025 at Legacy Westerville Nursing Care Facility.

She was born on September 20, 1947 in Marion, to the late Marion Amos and Margaret (Ports) Bonham. Rose cherished her life on the family farm and would often share stories with her sisters about her favorite cow, Tiny, or the many kittens that she loved to cuddle. Rose had a huge heart and a generous spirit and she shared that gift with any animal that crossed her path.

Rose graduated from Richwood High School in 1965 and began working for G. C. Murphy in Upper Arlington. She then worked for the State of Ohio and attended Night School in the evenings and eventually became a Fiscal Specialist. Rose was always very bright, and she created unique reports inspiring knowledge among her peers.
After thirty-two years of service to the State of Ohio, Rose decided to retire and turn her
attention to her crocheting, baking, reading and crossword puzzles. She was a true artist and her crochet projects were coveted by family and friends. She was a wonderful cook and made the best apple dumplings! When she wasn’t reading one of her many books, she could be found in her special chair with a crossword puzzle.

Rose is survived by her loving sister Elizabeth Ann Bonham, her brother-in-law Sean Toomey, her niece Cat (Rick) Ruffner, her nephews Richard Parrott, Jim Bonham, Jeramy (Jennifer) Bonham and Joshua Bonham, her great-nieces Jessa (Dan) Monagle, Zoe Ruffner, Isabella Ruffner and a great-great-niece Gwendolyn Monagle

She was preceded in death by her brother Jim Bonham, sisters Teresa Bonham Toomey and Julia Bonham Mattingly, her nephew Michael Todd Parrott and her great-nephew Tyson Baker.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Pastor Joseph Rhea will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Claibourne Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to Ohio SPCA, P.O. Box 546, Grove City, Ohio 43123.

Rose exemplified what the meaning of true friendship is all about. She was generous, kind and had a good sense of humor. Whenever I called I knew she would be there to take my call and to be a good listener. I will greatly  miss our 54 years of friendship. I pray that God Will comfort all of you during this difficult time.         Margo Woelfel
