Jack and I are distant cousins on the Moore side.  He did a family tree for us 40  years ago. Betty Lee his wife and I were good friends all through our school years. Driving past our old house on Franklin St she said she spent many nights there.Jack said"She is my cousin". Surprised us all.

Jack was a big supporter of the VFW youth essay contests. We got to know him when my children were taking part in those contests. He always went out of his way to speak to us when we ran into him around town. Our condolences to his loved ones.

I really never had the opportunity to know Mr Moore, but in knowing his son, Alan, I can only assume what a wonderful father and husband he must have been. He's had a full and interesting life; may he rest in peace.
