Karla Harper
Karla HarperRed Rose2Karla Ann Harper, 61 of rural Marion, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024, at Presidential Post Acute in Marion.

She was born June 6, 1963, in Kenton to the late Joseph John and Letha Marie (Crowe) Wolf. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Wolf of LaRue.

Karla is survived by her husband, Brent Allan Harper, whom she married on May 15, 1982, in Marion. She was a devoted mother to Joshua (Terra) Harper of New Bloomington, Joey Wolf of Marion, and Brooke (Sean) Stever of Cairo. Her grandchildren, Joseph Wolf, Jameson Stever, Harrison Stever, and Oaklee Stever, they all brought her immense pride and joy.

She is also survived by her siblings, Carolyn (Ted) Bird of Summerville, SC, Steve (Kim) Wolf of New Bloomington, Daniel (Cheryl) Wolf of Monroe, MI, and Rose Saunders of LaRue.

Karla cherished not only being a stay-at-home mother to her children, but also the role of being a second mother to her children's friends. She had a passion for genealogy and enjoyed fishing in her free time. Karla's generous spirit often led her to put the needs of others before her own, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Karla's kindness and love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday October 10, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue. Roger Ruth will officiate. Burial will follow in the Price Cemetery.
