Cyndi RossCyndi Ross, 43 of Richwood, died peacefully Thursday July 18, 2024 at her home in Richwood, following a nearly one-year battle with cancer.

Surviving is her husband, Tommy Ross, they were married August 7, 2009 in the front yard of the Historic Ross Family Farm. Also surviving is their son, Brennan Griffith, her bonus family, Erin (Isaac) Heyne of Coldwater and Tom “Junior” (Katie) Ross II of Richwood

Cyndi was a 1999 graduate of North Union High School. There she excelled at track and basketball. She and her running mates still hold the 4 x 800 record.

Cyndi and Tom went on their first date in 2001, and as they say, “The Rest is History”. Good or bad, thin or flush, they were always there for each other. Cyndi loved her family and loved her vacations with them to the beach or mountains. She and Tom bought a boat and there were lots of great times on Lake Erie.
Cyndi was the best and prettiest First Mate on “The Other Woman”, (their boat). The Fenwick Marina family was very special to her!
The Richwood community was a big part of her family.

Spending a week of the summers with my Griffith cousins whether at my house or theirs or at the beach are some of the best memories I have from childhood. I wanted to be like Cyndi, to run as fast, jump as high, swim as far and keep up with my beautiful cousins. She was FUN. I could see her again after years and we would smile and a flood of good times wood fill both our memories before we even made it across the room for hugs. I will always treasure the times I was blessed to have with she and Chrisy and BJ. Such a special girl.

My heart breaks for Cyndi and all who love and cherish her. I had the pleasure of  working side by side with Cyndi for a few years before we all went remote. I would have her cracking up telling her stories about me and her Aunt Kellie hitting the nightclubs in Marion wayyyy back in the day.  When I think of Cyndi I remember a smart, kind and generous person times 2 because you can’t forget her mirror image Chrisy.  You are all in my thoughts and continued prayers. My fondest memories of Cyndi will always be about how she gave me a real run for my money on being the best Auntie ever, because that’s exactly what she was in my eyes and of the nephews we share. I will always laugh - and cry - about the first time we met the day Luke was born. We were both so scared in the waiting room, but I thought she was Chrisy. I didn’t know there was a beautiful twin sister! It was a great way to lighten the moment as we waited to hear that Luke was OK. Cyndi had the kindest soul just like Chrisy and I loved her just like a sister - in fact a bonus sister. Her bond with Chrisy is one of the most special I’ve witnessed in my life. It’s with a very heavy heart I share my deepest condolences. I hope the whole family can find peace in knowing Cyndi is in a better place and we will all see her again. I believe she will protect you all and continue to live on, surrounding you with her pure light always. All my love. Kate

We all lost a beautiful woman.   Cyndi reported to me for several years at Farmers.  Outside of work, she was my friend.  I loved hearing about all of her family (gosh, she loved each one of you), closest friends and of course, her animal babies (porch kitty and Toby were always my favorite stories).  She had me laughing constantly. She shared vulnerabilities with me that helped me grow as a person. When her dad got sick, she shared the different emotions she felt. Her willingness to share that part of her life, helped me get through and understand my own heartache, when I went through the same thing with my own mom.   One memory that makes me smile is when she took me to a Mary Kate makeup session.  She promised a friend she would attend and I was visiting from out of town, so she roped me in.  I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a hoot to try on different eye shadows and have a very girly evening with wine.   She was too damn young to leave us.  Sending hugs to all those closest to her.  She was a special one.
