Rebecca Sue “Becky” Shirk
Rebecca Sue “Becky” ShirkCrossRebecca Sue “Becky” Shirk, 68 of Waldo, died Sunday June 23, 2024 at her home.

She was born February 9, 1956 in Marion to the late David and Terry (Hunt) Timmons. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Rodney and David Timmons and Mandy Stevens.

Becky graduated from Harding High School in 1974. She had worked for the River Valley Schools for over 21 years as a teacher’s aide at the Heritage Building.
She was a dedicated member of Grace Baptist Church in Delaware.
Becky was an artistic, crafty person. She enjoyed painting, cross stitching, shopping and going to flea markets. She loved her dogs, country music and always kept her Bible close to her.

Becky had the best heart for her loving family, she cherished the time she had with them.

Surviving is her husband, Tom Shirk, they were married June 23, 1973 at the Shiloh Baptist Church.
Also surviving are their children, Lindsey (Ryan) Lovett of Marion and Sherry (Ryan) McCombs of Marion.
Grandchildren, Raegan Lovett, Grayson Lovett, Scarlett Johnson, Owen McCombs and Jamie McCombs
Siblings, Lemuel (Angie) Timmons of Marion and Tammy Timmons of Marion

Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 26, 2024 at 12:00 noon at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect. Dr. John Waterhouse will officiate. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am at the funeral home in Prospect.

Memorial gifts may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 3744 St. Rt.  37 W, Delaware, Ohio 43015

I am so sorry for your loss.  Becky was such a sweet and gentle soul. It was my privilege to work with her at River Valley.  She never had an unkind word to say about anyone and loved the children she worked with.  So glad we will see each other again one day, Becky.  Prayers for all of the family.

Tom and family:  so glad I got to know Becky while attending Grace Baptist Church.  She was so nice and a very sweet lady.  I am sending my heartfelt condolences to you and your family.  I know she will be sorely missed by everyone that knew her.
