Geneva Gail Price

Geneva Gail Price, 72 of Marion, died Friday, May 31, 2024 at her home. She was born May 6, 1952 in York Center to the late Emor and Glenna (Morris) Grose. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Ella Grose, Bettie Dill, and Florence Borland; and four brothers, Emor L. Jr., Paul, Harold, and Lynn Grose.

On September 20, 1991 she married Gary Price and he survives. Gail was a loving wife and mother and loved her extended family immensely. She never knew a stranger, and if she met you, you had a friend for life. She and her husband, Gary enjoyed NASCAR, making regular trips to Daytona, among other racetracks. She also enjoyed racing go-karts with her family. Gail was a good cook and she loved her black labs. She loved her job as a telephone operator for GTE, later Verizon.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Joy (Jeff) Tiller, Marengo; Angela Price, Oblong, Illinois; two sons, Jerold Price, Virginia; William Price, Marion; nine grandchildren, Shoshannah (Alex) Kilbarger, Savannah Petty, Shannel Petty, Shawn Landrum, Joshua (Alexis) Baer, Kyndra Landrum, Alexis (Brandon) Stephens, Kaylee (John) Tackett, Rebecca Price; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, AnnaMae Hines, Marysville, Mary Jane (Harold) Durban, Richwood; five brothers, Howard and Donald Grose, both of Richwood, Carl (Mary Lou) Grose and James (Connie) Grose, both of Marion, and Kenneth (Violet) Grose, Marysville.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 7, 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Home in Richwood with Pastor Joe Rhea officiating. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM.

Memorial gifts may be given to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

Angela Lynn Price has been my best friend since we were 10 years old. When Gail came into her life, I was with her. Gail always treated me so nice. She was so sweet. She accepted Ang and her siblings as her own. Ang told me she never forgot a birthday of anyone. There are so many!!! All the way down to Angs grandchildren. I am so blessed to have gotten to visit Gail just less than a month ago. She got to see my daughter again all grown up. It was so nice to see her. I stayed longer than I expected because she was so alert and happy. So so glad I got to see her. She is and always will be an Angel to my best friend Angela Lynn! Rest easy Gail. I know the kids will take care of Gary now.

My heartfelt sympathy to Gary and all of Geneva's family. My only consolation for my sadness and very heavy heart is she is free from pain and suffering. She gave this dreaded disease a valiant fight. What a wonderful wonderful person. My nickname for her was Sparky! Geneva was one of my blessings! Memory Eternal dear friend. Job well done.
