Mary K. Blevins

Mary K. Blevins, 79 of Prospect, died peacefully Thursday evening January 11, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was born February 5, 1944 in Prospect to the late James B. and Lucille (Collmer) Middlemiss. Mary K. was a 1962 graduate of the Prospect High School. She had worked for 30 years at the Ohio State Highway Patrol in Marion. She had been the co-owner/operator of the G & R Tavern in Waldo from 1985 until 2018. Mary K. loved all the people she came in contact with at the G & R, her customers were her friends. She enjoyed wintering in Florida and loved boating on Lake Erie. Her family was the most important thing in her life, she was always looking out for them. Mary K. was a very caring person. Surviving is her husband, John Henry Blevins, her son, JB (Beth) Blevins of Prospect, her grandson, Colton D. Blevins and her sister, Carol Birchfield of Prospect. Step-son, John Henry Belvins III of Nevada and step grandchildren, Emma and Lane Blevins There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Monday January 22, 2024 from 2 to 4 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect, followed by food and fellowship at the Prospect American Legion Post #368 (all are welcome).
