  Daryl L. Friend, 28 of Kenton, died unexpectedly Thursday evening October 26, 2023 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Hardin County.
He was born April 27, 1995 in Marion to Clarence “Kippy” Friend and Samantha Byrd. Daryl was a 2014 graduate of the Kenton High School. He was employed at J-Lenco in LaRue. He loved to go fishing, he would go whenever and wherever he could. He also enjoyed gaming and riding go-carts. Daryl was a bit of a “goofball”, he really enjoyed making people laugh. Surviving are his parents, Clarence Friend and Samantha Byrd of LaRue. His fiancée, Kimberly McCormack of Kenton. A sister, Abby Friend of Lima. Grandparents, Clarence and Melissa Friend of LaRue and Mary Gladden of Mt. Gilead. Great grandmother, Margaret Friend of Marion. He was preceded in death by his brother, Daren Friend, who was in the accident with Daryl. There will be a combined Service celebrating the lives of Daryl and Daren on Friday November 3, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue. Pastor Brent Layne will officiate.
