Judith Fern “Judy” Taylor |
Judith Fern “Judy” Taylor, 72, 30-year resident of Richwood, coming from Newbern, Tennessee, died Tuesday July 18, 2023 at the Memorial Hospital in Marysville.
She was born November 13, 1950 in Gibson County, Tennessee to the late Woodrow Wilson and Alene (Lineberry) Whitwell. She was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca Sue and Tom Anderson.
Judy was a homemaker. She had also worked at Meijer’s in Dublin. She loved to go driving, sightseeing and fishing. Growing house plants and spending time with her family, especially anything that the grandkids were involved in were very special to her. Aunt Judy to many of her nieces and nephews, they considered her the favorite aunt. When there was someone that she considered family in need, she opened her heart, arms and home to them as if they were her own children, she had taken in her nieces and nephews, Chris Taylor, Donnie Taylor and Angie Reed Wells (deceased)
On June 15, 1968 at the Union United Methodist Church in Trenton, TN, she married Prentice Monroe Taylor, and he survives. Also surviving are their children, Mark Andrew Taylor of Newbern, Tn. and Leslie Denise (Timothy Michael) Merrick of Raymond.
Grandchildren, Megan Merrick and Lane Merrick
Siblings, Ray Thomas (Linda) Whitwell of Milan, Tn., David Frank Whitwell of Cocoa, Florida and Leda Rosaline (John) Phillips of Nashville, Tn.
Funeral services will be Monday July 24, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton, TN. Burial will follow in the Union Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the service beginning at 11:00 at the funeral home in Trenton. The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood is assisting the family locally.
