Gayle Peterman
Gayle PetermanHarnessRacingGayle Peterman, 83 of Richwood, died Sunday May 21, 2023 at the Memorial Hospital in Marysville.

He was born March 5, 1940 in West Jefferson to the late Raymond and Lilla(Craig) Peterman. Gayle was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Gayle was a well-known horse trainer in the area for many years. He had worked for the former “Grumpy Old Men Stable” in Richwood and had also trained in Marysville and London. He traveled all over Ohio and Indiana with his trade.

Gayle loved being outdoors, fishing was one of his passions. When he was younger, he did some farming, something he enjoyed.

On September 5, 1980 in West Mansfield, he married Eleanor M. (Jolliff), and she survives. Also surviving are their combined children, Heidi (Jeremy) Omeroid of Marysville, Bradley Peterman of San Angelo, Texas, David (Tonya) Beckley of Nokomis, Florida and Douglas (Kim) Beckley of Bucyrus
Grandchildren, Christopher Peterman, Emily Peterman, Nathen Beckley and Nicholas Beckley
Five great grandchildren and three brothers and one sister.

There will be no services at this time.

The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood is assisting the family.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Richwood First United Methodist Church
