Words cannot begin to express the kinship we shared with Shirley and Dan over the years! Shirley was like a sister to me but Alzheimer’s took her a long time  before her last breath on this earth! In my recent visits with Shirley her only comfort seemed to be hearing hymns and scripture.I will always miss the days when we laughed sang, prayed  and studied God’s word  together. Yet, I’m confident that today she is singing with the saints in heaven & nothing can separate her from the love of God. Rom. 8:39

I am certain that my dear friend, Shirley, is resting and restored in the arms of our Savior, Jesus. Her sweet smile and demeaner were a testimony to her deep faith in Him. Shirley was a willing servant and made herself available when asked to help out. I am blessed to have been in fellowship with her during the 23 years I lived in LaRue and after I moved away through phone calls, letters and cards. God bless you all, family and friends, as you celebrate her life among you.

Fond memories of Mrs. Schroll at the LaRue UMC. So sorry for your loss. Dementia is a cruel disease. It is always a comfort when you know where she will spend eternity.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Shirley was the sweetest lady.  She had old pictures of my family.  Years ago, as  she was sorting through her photos and across one of my family,  she would send me the old picture . When I would go the the mail box and she her hand writing my heart would leap.  She was so kind and thoughtful.
