Timothy Milton Shoaf
Timothy Milton ShoafAntiquesTimothy Milton Shoaf, 75 of Prospect, passed away peacefully at his home on January 6, 2023 following a 5 year struggle with cancer. His faith in Jesus as his savior gave him confidence that death is temporary, and he had a heavenly home awaiting him.

He was born in 1947 in Columbus to his parents, John and Dorothy (White) Shoaf. He attended college at Columbus College of Art and Design where he studied graphic design. He spent his career at Fahlgren Advertising, first as a Graphic Designer and later as Print Production Manager.

Tim had an appreciation for art and for antiques, and he loved going to flea markets to find unique pieces that he could restore or create into something new. He also enjoyed spending a weekend morning hunting fields to find Native American arrowheads. He loved to learn the history of the pieces he would find as well.
Tim enjoyed spending his time outdoors biking, running, hunting, fishing, and camping. He liked to share and teach others about his hobbies as well. He loved taking his great niece and nephews to fishing spots he would find and teaching them how to cast and reel.

He deeply cared for his family.  He was proud of his daughter and excited to share with family and friends photos of her and his grandchildren, and share all of their accomplishments.

He is survived by his daughter Dr. Emily (Brian) Wasko of Fort Collins, Colorado, grandchildren Madilyn, Aiden, and Mason Wasko.
He is also greatly missed by his sister and brother, Bonnie (William) Tanner of Pataskala and Thomas (Sandy) Shoaf of Columbus.
He is also loved by his nieces and nephews: Kristen (Jacob) Mayer, Dustin Shoaf,  Katelin Shoaf, and great niece and nephews: Lillian, Levi, and Asher Mayer.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Shoaf, and a sister Connie Shoaf.

There will be no services at this time. Private burial will take place in the Glen Rest Cemetery in Reynoldsburg.

The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect is assisting the family.

My wife and I extend our deepest condolences to “TIMS” entire family…

We met Tim at the “Y” 4 1/2 years ago and instantly bonded as we both shared the same outdoor interests…and, he liked my wife’s cooking…

It was on our way to our first pheasant hunt that Tim told me about his health condition…I almost didn’t believe him…because when we hit the fields he quickly left me in the dust…and he just told me how Ill he was….Sunday mornings, weather permitting,  meant breakfast burritos at McDonald’s then off to the range where he would put on a shooting clinic…

Wether in the field or at the range, Tim was in a very happy place and never complained…he was always more worried about my wife’s and my health conditions…

We will always remember his smile and his caring friendship…we lost a good friend…

Rest In Peace FRIEND…

Joe and Sachiko

Worked with Tim many years ago at Fahlgren in Marion (starting when it was Howard Swink). He was a pleasure  to work with.

I met Tim 30 years ago at Fahlgren and worked with him until his retirement. We used to shop vintage together a lot. He was one of a kind. I will miss his sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. May you rest in peace dear friend.
