L. Denise “Dee” Hawke |
L. Denise “Dee” Hawke, 74 of Prospect, passed away peacefully November 28, 2022 at her home.
She was born June 10, 1948 in Warren to the late Robert W. and Nila L. (Gardlock) Baldwin. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Addie Patton and a sister, Marsha Ann Baldwin.
Dee was a 1966 graduate of the Marion Harding High School, where she participated in the Color Guard and Choir.
She had worked at PPG and was proud that she helped formulate the paint that was used for the Atlanta Olympics. She loved her OSU Buckeyes and enjoyed baking, playing cards and bowling. She also liked to sew and crochet, making slippers, blankets, scarves and hats for family and friends. In her later years she worked at RHAM in Marion, while there, she developed a passion for working with people with disabilities.
On March 4, 1967 at the Epworth United Methodist Church, she married Robert D. Marine Jr. Even though this marriage wasn’t permanent, they had three children together and remained friends to this day.
Surviving are her children, Shannon (Billie Jo) Marine of Marion, Lori (Stacey) Donahue of Richwood and Heather (Mike) Rutter of Prospect.
Grandchildren, Brit (Austin), Brandon (Jamie), Kendra (James), Kelsey (Jed), Mike (Sam), Nick, Kirkland (Miaya), Summer (Damian), Autumn (Jason), Chris (Mandy), Jessie (Andrew) and James.
16 great grandchildren
Sister, Tracy Sansotta of Fort Pierce, Florida.
Extended family, Kathy Ford, Traci Potter and Ed (Cori) Huffine
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends Friday December 2, 2022 from 5-7 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood.

Losing a parent is one of the hardest things to go through in life. I know you are surrounded by people that love and care for you. That helps. Just wanting to send my thoughts and condolences for this loss. Remember the laughter and the joy. Those will help you along the way.
