Helen Janet “Jan” Bauerle
Helen Janet “Jan” BauerleFlagHelen Janet “Jan” Bauerle, 90 of Radnor, died peacefully early Thursday morning November 24, 2022 at the Ohio Living Sarah Moore Nursing Home in Delaware.

She was born February 25, 1932 in Columbus to the late Lee Jennings and Adrian (Callahan) Billingsley. Jan was also preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Kay Pinnick and four brothers.

Jan had worked at the Delaware Red Cross as an accountant, a job she was very proud of. She had also served our country in the United States Army. But her true calling in life was that of being a loving and caring mom to her large family. Jan enjoyed taking care of her flower and vegetable gardens, she even took pleasure from pulling weeds! She knitted, collected dolls and really enjoyed eating out, (she didn’t have to clean up after everyone). Jan also had gotten her motorcycle license and was known to take a ride or two.

Surviving are her devoted children, Ricky Lee (Lynn) Pinnick of Menahga, Minnesota, Terry Eugene Pinnick of Marion, Billy Gene (Sandee) Pinnick Jr. of Prospect, David Bryan (Amy) Pinnick of Delaware, Robert Wayne Pinnick of Melbourne, Florida, Jon Richard Pinnick of Marion, Charles Thomas Pinnick of Marion, Kenneth Joseph Pinnick of Radnor, Steven Douglas (Lois) Pinnick of Prospect, Paul Michael (Dottie) Pinnick of Bridgeport, Alabama and Mary Joanne (Jack) Guyton of Radnor
23 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren

Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 30, 2022 at 11 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect. I remember helping mom on laundry day. We would fold one load of jeans, one load of shirts, one load of under garments, one load of white clothes and at least one load of towels. And then do it all over again a week later. I learned to do a lot of household chores from mom.

After mom started working, she could not be home to make dinner. So she would write out instructions and lay out the ingredients to make an army sized pot of jonny marzetti and some how, magically, it would taste like mom made it herself. Mom always made sure that we felt like we had a good home.

Mom was a Saint. I want to believe that most children are fortunate enough to view their mother that way but mom was the real deal. So many children to spread her attention out to. So many meals for so many mouths every single day. And her cookies for Christmas....let's just say I was willing to break a known house rule and enlisting my brother Ken to be the look out man... I stretched my arm over the refrigerator to reach the cabinet where the freshly baked goods were hidden from sight, almost had them in my grip when I felt a tap tap on my back. I whispered, "I almost have them"! Again I felt a tap tap ony to turn around to tell my brother to stop but see dad standing there and Ken was no where in sight...yeah  her cookies were that good!

I remember the last time I am with mom as she was recovering from her surgery. We were talking about celebrating Christmas together since we would not be able to celebrate Thanksgiving together. As I was leaving - Mary came out of mom’s room saying mom wanted me to come back in to talk with her. I went back and as I walked in the room mom told me “You know I really love you!” I told her I really loved her too and wanted her to get rest and get better to celebrate Christmas together! My mom - always making sure you knew how much she really loves you! All of us! ❤️
