Jeff was someone I always liked having around. He was great for mixing up the mundane, always had stories to tell, and had the most unique (in a good way) way of commanding attention with his subtle enthusiasm. He was extremely devoted to family. I can't think of anything remotely as close to his heart. He loved bragging on his boys and grandkids.
The truth is I feel like there's hole in my chest and gut right now and I know I'm not the only one. Nothing I say can take away from how devastated and blindsided we feel by this tremendous, instant loss. I have we will see each other once more and that does help to lift my spirit, but processing this grief at the same time is not easy. I guess this isn't the typical sympathy message but I'm not typical and Jeff wasn't either... and I always admired that.
Our (me, Leah, Fiona) hearts go out to everyone, especially Lisa, Chad and Cory. We wish we could be there in person to celebrate uncle Jeff's life. Know that we are honoring him and story and reflection as well as lifting everyone up in prayer for comfort and peace. Love you all.
Nate

Lisa, Cory, Chad, and family… please know our thoughts and prayers are with you all.  I pray God gives you comfort and peace during this very sad time.  I want you all to know we will be forever grateful for all that Jeff did for us while in Jax.  The construction he did on our home so we could get Mema moved here was such a huge blessing to us and would not have been possible had Jeff had not given of himself to do that for us.  Not many show as much concern and kindness as he did.  We will continue to pray for you all for a long time and please look after each other.   With heartfelt sympathy….  Robert, Gloria, and Ann Walden
