Sue and the Meddles family, I am so sorry to about your loss.My Thoughts & Prayers are with all of you.  I have known Ping almost my entire life. He was funny, witty and ornery for sure. I spent many days & nights with the Meddles family, Sue and I were inseparable. One thing Ping loved to do was tease me and pick on me, in a good way though. The stories that Ping and Mr. Collins would tell you you didn’t know whether they were true or not but, I would say probably not but, me being a kid I believed every word of it. R.I.P Mr. Stanley “Ping” Meddles.

Ping was a wonderful man who loved his family and friends. He was a larger than life presence for me as one of Karla's dumb neighborhood friends. He took much joy in razzing me and I am better for it. My heart goes out to you, Karla. And to Phyllis and the rest of your beautiful family. I am happy to know he and Rick are together. Love and prayers to you all.

So sorry for your family’s loss. We loved Stan. When Mike and Stan drove for Dallas Mavis many of the drivers thought Stan was Mike’s uncle. I proceeded to call him Uncle Stan whenever I saw him for a very long time. He was an all around great person. We have many good memories of our times with Stan.

Phyllis and family, I am very sorry for your loss.  My siblings have always told stories of their days as your neighbors on Clinton Street.  But, I did not grow up in that house.  So, my best memories of Ping will always be from church.   I will remember his dedication to the church and the pew that he and Phyllis sat in on Sunday mornings.  I will remember the hugs that he so freely gave during greeting time or when he came into the office.  I will remember the stories that he told and wondering if he was teasing me or not. Ping was one of a kind and I will miss him!   Thinking of you all during this time with much love.
