Robert E. Willey
Robert E. WilleyNavyRobert E. Willey, 90 of Prospect, died Tuesday evening April 12, 2022 at the Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.

He was born April 25, 1931 in Morral to the late Otto and Margaret (Engle) Willey, he was also preceded in death by two brothers: Clyde and Vaughn Willey

Bob was retired from the Whirlpool Corp., working there over 35 yrs., as a Tool and Die Maker and Senior Maintenance Engineer. He served our country in the United States Navy.

Bob was very talented with his hands, he could make or repair just about anything. He was the go-to guy for all of the family when they needed something fixed.

He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, bowling, hunting and fishing on Lake Erie.

On December 22, 1949 in Kentucky, he married Carol (Edler) and she survives, also surviving are their children: Eric (Vickie) Willey of Prospect, Rick Willey of Prospect and Tessa (Roy Henderson) Willey of New Bloomington.
Six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren

Private graveside services will be held at the Prospect Cemetery, Bob’s grandson, Pastor Jared Howard will officiate. Military Honors will be given by the Vietnam Veterans of America #1095.

Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Assn. 5455 N. High Street Columbus, OH 43214 and/or the Union County Cancer Society 532 Fairwood Dr, Marysville, OH 43040

We were sad to hear about Bob. We lived close to you in the 80s, across from Ron and Sue Clevinger,  and went to school with Vickie.

We in the tool room were glad to have Bob in our team when we got started producing ranges, 1996 was a lot better for us having Bob giving us his take on getting started in a brand new plant!
