Roger Eugene Posey

Roger Eugene Posey, 70, of Richwood, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 in Memorial Hospital, Marysville, Ohio.

Roger was born March 14, 1951 in Urbana, Ohio, the son of the late Ralph E. and Helen (Roseberry) Posey. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Roger was a graduate of Triad High School where he was active in the Triad Alumni activities. After high school, he attended Clark County Technical Institute where he earned an Associates Degree in Agricultural Equipment Technology. Roger was a member of the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church. Until retirement, he worked at Parrott Implement Co. in the parts department; he was the go-to-man for local farmers when they needed a part for their machinery. Roger enjoyed history, old tractors, and model trains. During his retirement, Roger rebuilt a track and train from his childhood.

Roger is survived by his sisters, Jane Dixon of Hillsboro, and Diane (Ross) Briggs of Cable; nieces and nephews, Amy Jo (Case) Circle of St. Paris, Amanda Dixon of Hillsboro, Jamie Briggs of Cable, and William (Mary) Dixon of Hillsboro; great nieces and nephews, Logan & Alexis Dixon, Thor and baby Circle as well as many friends, neighbors and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Thomas W. Dixon and great nephew, Beau Allen Dixon.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Mechanicsburg, Ohio with Pastor Mimi Ault officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.

Live Stream will be available on the Vernon Funeral Home Facebook page starting at 10:55 a.m.

Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Triad Alumni Association, c/o Erica Trainer, 3885 Gray Road, Cable, Ohio 43009. Please include in the memo "Roger Posey Memorial"

Thanks to the staff at your funeral home for adding the John Deere logo to Roger's Obit it makes it a nice addition.

Roger was just the Best parts man at parrotts. I used to go in not knowing completely what I needed, and he always fixed me up to just what terry needed. We love you and will miss you roger. RIP Roger.

I spent nearly 20 years with Roger at Parrott Implement. He was always glad to help and had a great sense of humor. He loved to snow ski and encouraged me to go with him a few times, he taught me how to ski. I will miss him.
