Sandra Williams (Yantone Welch) Roush
Sandra Williams (Yantone Welch) RoushYellowRoseSandra Williams (Yantone Welch) Roush, 79, ascended into heaven on January 24, 2022, just shy of her 80th birthday.

Born January 28, 1942, in Los Angeles, CA, to the late Lura Pauline (Williams) Welch and late Albert Yantone, she spent many of her childhood years on her great-grandparents farm in Greencastle, Indiana, as well as amidst the city lights of Columbus, Ohio.

A dreamer, hard worker, a rebel, and a lover of horses and all animals big and small, Sandra believed in the goodness of all living creatures. From bird watching and horseback riding to getting lost in the beauty of nature in rolling farmland, she was always at home when animals and nature were nearby.

After marrying her husband, late Gary L. Roush, in Clarksville, TN, she settled into the heartlands of Ostrander and later Richwood, Ohio, to raise her children as a homemaker while also working as a production associate with Ranco, Multicon, and then Flxible over a 30-year period.

After retirement she enjoyed her pets, baking, bingo, crossword and word search puzzles, watching reruns of Little House on the Prairie, being a Red Hatter, cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes and North Union High School football teams, traveling to Japan and Italy, and the world stopped to watch the Kentucky Derby.

A proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she reveled in sharing the latest happenings and accomplishments of all the young hearts in her life because she was young at heart. Her family looked forward to enjoying her confectionary creations, peanut butter fudge, buckeyes, and her butter cinnamon bites made from leftover homemade pie crusts.

Anyone who knew her would comment on her sweet and kind demeanor and the fact that she always came from a place of acceptance. She always greeted whomever she met with a smile, and never said a harsh word about anyone.

She is preceded by her husband, Gary L. Roush, and her daughter, Cindra Darlene Cowen. Surviving are her children: Todd (Dorothy) Roush of Richwood, Sherre’ DeMao of Denver, NC. Grandchildren: Cassandra (Mark) Brooks, Amaria DeMao (Chris) Seidle, Savannah DeMao, Kristina Smith (Christopher Debeaux), Aaron Roush, Michael Roush, and Jeremy (Adison) Roush. Great Grandchildren: Emma Grace Brooks, Annabelle Brooks, Gracelynn Roush, Hudson Roush and Jedidiah Roush.

Memorial services will be held Sunday February 20, 2022 at 3 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Pastor Joseph Rhea will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service beginning at two pm at the funeral home in Richwood.

Memorial Gifts can be made in her memory to Hospets, PO Box 1063, Marysville, OH 43040 (hospets.org) or Alaqua Animal Refuge, 914 Whitfield Road, Freeport, FL 32439 (alaqua.org).

Dear Sherre' and family,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy as you cope with the loss of your mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. I will remember Sandra as a quiet and kind person. Unfortunately I know the pain associated with the loss of a parent and I send you many hugs. Remember all of the good things and at least take comfort in knowing she is at peace in heaven with Jesus.

Love Lisa DeMao
