Joseph Brown Hawthorne
Joseph Brown HawthorneFallJoseph Brown Hawthorne, 61 of Marion and Prospect, died Friday January 14, 2022 at the Marion General Hospital.

He was born May 11, 1960 in Marion to William B. Hawthorne and Maxine (Morgan) Hawthorne, his mom survives in Prospect.

Joe was retired from Marion Steel, where he worked as a Press Operator for many years. He was a 1978 graduate of the Pleasant High School.

His family was the most important thing in his life, he loved spending time with his kids and doting on his mom. He was a good provider for them.

Joe enjoyed tinkering around his garage and going fishing when he could.

Surviving along with his mom are his children: Kristen (Richard) Collins of Marion and Todd J. (Jennifer) Hawthorne of Petersburg, Indiana
Grandchildren: Brandon and Bradley Hawthorne, Alexia Carroll, Amariona, Adaryn and Aleigha Collins
One great grandson: Jay Brown
Siblings: William B. Hawthorne of Marion and Rosanne (Ken) Seiter of Marion

Graveside services will be held Wednesday January 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Prospect Cemetery. Pastor Steve Whitaker will officiate.

The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect is assisting the family

Memorial gifts may be made to the funeral home to help with unexpected expenses.

My brother Jack Wood & I want send our love ❤️,& condolence  out to the Hawthorne family and our sympathy as well. Our hearts go out to Joe’s mom children and the rest of the family and friends . This is so heartbreaking 💔 l
  RIP Joe you’ll be loved and missed by many ! He touched many hearts in his  lifetime . You now have gained your wings  and went to Heaven! You’re no longer struggling and going through all the Suffering & pain you was going through !
