Wayne Apt
Wayne AptSpruceWayne Apt, 67 of Prospect, died Friday morning November 26, 2021 at his home.

He was born December 19, 1953 in Kenton to Bob and Eileen (Eaton) Apt, his mom survives in Richwood.

He was retired from a local dryer manufacturer, where he worked as a peon for 44 years.

Wayne will always be remembered as a loving father with a genuine sense of humor and a willingness to lend a hand.
Family was always his top priority!
A proud and helpful member of the community. He was a long time Master Gardener who enjoyed his Christmas Tree Farm, walks along the river, arrowhead hunting, and time at Indian Lake.
He was an avid fan of THE Ohio State Buckeyes, bowling, ping pong, and music.

Surviving along with his mom, are his children: Jamie (Robbie) Apt of Prospect, Amber (Adam Dorsey) Apt of Marion and Kaulin Apt of Prospect
Grandchildren: Logan Gill, Kate Apt and Beth Apt
Siblings: Robin (Stu) Lenox of Richwood, Wendy Schindler of Zanesfield, Patty Gray of Millersburg and Mike (Kristy) Apt of Prospect
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Special Thanks to family friend and fellow warrior, Lynn Keffer for emotional support and laughs.

There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate Wayne’s life on Friday December 3, 2021 from 4-7pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Burial will take place at a later date in the Otterbein Cemetery, Prospect.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Prospect Park PO Box 426 Prospect, Ohio 43342.

The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood is assisting the family.

I have lots of good memories of Wayne, from working together to teach 5th graders what was safe to eat in the woods to laughing at the antics of our respective sons over the years.  Wayne was a great guy and will be missed.  My sympathy to the family.  RIP.

So sorry about Wayne , Sure wish he could have enjoyed retirement years much longer . He always helped me when I first started in pressroom in automatics . The good ole days . Before they made us all one with transmats . That’s when he was ready too get out of there . He made my OT on days go so much faster with his stories , Always a cup of coffee in his hands . Rest In Peace . Prayers for all he knew

sorry about your loss .Talking to Wayne when I worked at the Cardinal was something I always enjoyed. We shared lots of complaints about the Browns. Wayne was a very nice person.

I was a floater in the Labor Pool at Whirlpool and retired in 2011.  Wayne was a great fun loving guy! Always had a smile on face, shared a laugh and always willing to help!  A terrible loss on Earth, but fun loving in Heaven!  Prayers to the family and God Bless.

Our condolences to Wayne's family. He was a great neighbor who was always willing to help out if needed. We'll miss seeing him out working in his yard and caring for his trees.

Sorry to hear that Wayne is deceased. I never knew him as adults but I do remember that he was a nice guy.  My Condolences to his family
